In Service To One, In Service To All
Support Catholic Marriage
As committed Catholics, Knights of Columbus are dedicated to the preservation of the only family structure which guarantees a child the most fundamental of children's rights--the right to live with their own biological mother and father, with their father and mother committed to one another in a holy, secure matrimonial bond.

Of course, real-life problems sometimes make the ideal situation impossible. A parent may die. A child may be orphaned. In far too many instances, what adults thought to be a marriage, because of inadequate preparation, understanding, or mindset, has actually left grounds for annulment. Sometimes one spouse has the dedication to keep going in their vocation as a married person and parent, but the other does not, leading to abandonment.

In his encyclical Humanae Vitae, Pope Paul VI predicted many of the societal ills seen in our day. Human relationship seems fraught with danger and fleeting.

As a result, many, many men, women, and children are left deeply wounded.

The Catholic message, though, is a message of hope. As Knights of Columbus, through catechetical training, education, and actual fellowship and support, we intend to give witness to a better way of living--a truer way of living--one in accord with the Gospel promise of Christ.

Men and women of courage, men and women of commitment, men and women of dedication, authentically embracing and properly formed in the Catholic Faith, will always have what it takes to form lasting families in holiness, on the rock which is Christ.
